Dairy House is a 700 acre arable and fruit farm. The house is set in the middle of the farm with views of the countryside in every direction. The farmhouse was extended in 1876 into a wonderfully spacious home with large rooms and many typical Victorian ornamentations.
Alan and Bridget have lived here for over 25 years and have really enjoyed developing their home and they are delighted to be able to offer elegant, comfortable accommodation and surroundings, as well as friendly care to their guests from both the British Isles and overseas - we can give you peace and quiet but also offer lots of "tourist information" for you to browse and are happy to make suggestions for lovely days out that suit your interests and needs. We have detailed local maps for guests to borrow whilst they are here which makes exploring a little bit easier!
Our guests have their own sitting room with a hot drinks tray holding just about every type of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and there is always homemade cake in the tin!
Breakfast is served in the dining room (see picture) and we use local British produce whenever possible and there is also honey made by the bees on our farm as well as homemade jam and marmalade.
Many guests that stay with us are en route to Harwich to pick up a cruise ship and we are happy to offer long term parking for £2 a day which is considerably cheaper than at the port.
We look forward to meeting and welcoming you here at some time in the future!
