The Thomas Shop is a distinctive restoration within a listed property of buildings that go back to 1600.
The rooms are comfortably endowed with character and sensitivity. Ensuite or private facilities in all rooms.
We specialise in home cooking using ingredients locally sourced where possible. You can eat en famille, have your breakfast in your room, or eat by the river Ithon which flows along the side of our garden. We also have a self catering unit if you prefer.
Families, walkers, cyclists, indeed everyone is welcome.
The Thomas Shop is steeped in local history and we also have a shop museum, gallery, shopping facilities, and workshops.
Penybont in Mid Wales is a forgotten delight set amongst the Radnor hills with its patchwork scenery. Said to be one of the best off road cycling areas in the country, with easy access to the Elan Valley, it is also ideal walking countryside.

We are situated on the A44 between Kington and Rhayader. We are 100 yards from the Severn Arms Public House in the direction of Rhayader. If traveling from Llandrindod Wells turn east at Crossgates towards Kington and we are 1.5 miles.
There is a train station in Pen y Bont 1 mile we will pick you up. Bus from Hereford goes through the village.
Single £26.00 per person in a single room.
Single £34.00 per person in a double room.
Double Room £52.00 for two people sharing as couple or twin.
Extra adult £20.00 per person for family facilities.
Extra Children 2-15 years £12.00 per child.
Children under 2 no charge.
