Kent House is located in the centre of Ambleside, a short walk from Lake Windermere and ideally situated should you wish to explore and discover the English Lake district whilst staying in this charming Village.
Outstanding natural beauty, close proximity to lake cruises, the homes of Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, many National Trust historic buildings and gardens, gift shops and specialist outdoor pursuit suppliers are just some of the reasons why Ambleside effortlessly attracts so many visitors throughout the seasons every year.
There are many walks accessible directly from the village, ranging from those suitable for the first timers who just want a gentle walk in magnificent surroundings, to the more challenging route for the experienced walkers. (you will find plasters for sore feet in your Guestroom !)
Bicycle storage is available and dogs may be welcome by prior arrangement.
When you return tired and hungry at the end of the day, you may choose to watch the world go by whilst drinking tea on the terrace, or relax in the comfortable surroundings of Kent House prior to eating in one of the superb restaurants or hostelries just moments away, where you will find a wide and varied selection of menus with which to satisfy simple or serious culinary desires.

Directions
M6 Motorway, exit junctions 36, 37 or 39 to Kendal, join the A591 to Windermere, continue on A591 to Ambleside.
Enter one way system in Ambleside, pass the Tourist Information Centre/Post Office to your left followed by Tysons Boot & Shoe shop on the right, the Fudge shop and Churchills Hotel will shortly also be to your right, stop outside Churchills and look up to your left, you will see Kent House on a terrace above the road.
