The site was once a monastery and Commandery for the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem.
The current house was built about 300 years ago and is one of Eastbourne's oldest houses; a dwelling has existed on the site for at least a 1000 years.
The Peter Pan illustrator, Mabel Lucie Attwell , also lived here, hence the blue plaque on the road-side wall.
Guests are able to enjoy a delicious breakfast with home-made bread and marmalade, as well as the luxury of Egyptian cotton linen.
