The house sits in the heart of the village of Ecclefechan opposite the birthplace of the Victorian historian and essayist Thomas Carlyle.
We offer accommodation on a pay per person basis; accommodation consists of two double rooms and a twin room all with private bathroom facilities.
Television, tea and coffee making facilities are available in each room.
Smoking is not allowed in the house.
We are situated conveniently for access to and from the M74 motorway and sit on Route 74 of the National Cycle Route.
We provide an ideal resting point for those travelling from the north of Scotland to the south of England as we are centrally located.
We are also offer an ideal base for those who wish to explore the local area or travel further a field, for example, we are within easy reach of the Lake District, the Galloway Park, Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Carlyle House can be found in the centre of Ecclefechan, towards the bottom of the High Street directly opposite the birthplace of Thomas Carlyle.
The village can be easily accessed from exits on both the north and southbound carriageways of the M74 at Junction 19.
For those on foot or using the National Cycle Network (Route 74) you will find us on the B7076 six miles south of Lockerbie.
