Burcott Mill nestles between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills. It is one mile from Wells (England's smallest city) and Wookey Hole Caves and within easy reach of Bath, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Street, Weston-super-Mare, Taunton and Bristol.
Burcott Mill is a working water-powered flour mill. There has been a mill on this site for over 1000 years and few such watermills still operate commercially today. We now specialise in the production of 100% wholemeal flour made from organic English wheat. A local baker uses the flour to make the bread which is served with your breakfast in the Miller's House. A tour of the mill can be arranged. Between Easter and September you may also visit our country tearoom. For children, we have a large adventure play area and a number of small friendly animals and wildfowl.
The Miller's House is a charming Grade II listed building adjoining the Mill. There are six rooms to suit singles, couples and families. There are two ground floor suites one with full disabled access.
Located directly opposite is the Burcott Inn, a fine country free house offering evening meals.
