Our beautiful, 200 year old stone farmhouse is in a quiet, but not isolated location, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
We overlook the Linacre Valley and are one mile to the eastern edge of The Peak District National Park.
Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, Renishaw Hall and Gardens, not to mention Chesterfield and Sheffield are all within a 30 minute drive.
Our Rooms
Our two guest bedrooms have recently been refurnished to a high standard of comfort.
The Rose Room has either a Superking Bed or Twin Beds.
It has an en-suite bathroom and lovely views.
This spacious room has space for a cot and junior bed/guest bed.
The Orchid Room has twin beds, and a separate large private bathroom, with both bath and shower.
There are lovely views from the Orchid Room.
Children are welcome, we offer reduced rates when sharing with adults.
Breakfasts
Our extensive breakfast menu is sourced from local and homemade produce.
Our bacon and sausages come from a family farm, free-range eggs from the next village, plus our homemade preserves and homegrown seasonal fruit and tomatoes.
Barbara makes her own salmon fish cakes. Fresh fruit salad is always available.
We supply our guests with a hospitality tray, hairdryer and TV/DVD within their rooms.
There is a guest lounge with a TV.
We have large gardens where you can spend time, there are also walks from the door.
There is an excellent pub/restaurant across the road
There are local maps and tourist information available.
