The Old Farriers is situated bang in the middle of the historic town of Shaftesbury, the stronghold of King Alfred the Great.
Our home is a stones throw from Gold Hill, made famous by the 'Hovis' TV commercial and can be found through an old coaching arch at the rear of the High Street.
This 19th Century building was once the Farrier's where coach horses would be fitted with new shoes.
Now beautifully restored, 'The Old Farriers' is a warm and relaxing place to stay - a little oasis in the centre of town.
The super-king double/twin is an elegant room with an excellent en-suite shower room.
The room is furnished with club chairs, television and hot drink making facilities.
The small double/single room is very pretty and has its own private bathroom.
Both rooms have double doors leading to the veranda with a lovely view of the Dorset Vale.
As the rooms have their own entrance you are free to come and go as you please.
A fine breakfast is served in the hay loft but do not worry - you will not have to climb a ladder to reach it!
