The Gables is a newly built large house, situated just 200 metres off the A483 Welshpool to Newtown road; ideally situated for walkers and for touring Mid Wales.

The Montgomery canal is just across the road from the Gables and there is also a nine hole golf course, which has recently opened, along with a clubhouse and restaurant, which is within walking distance.
The village of Berriew is two miles away and has two hotels serving excellent home cooked food.
Here, there is also a pretty church and the Andrew Logan museum.
Welshpool, six miles away has a narrow-gauge railway and Powis Castle to explore.
Canal trips, fishing, pony-treking and quad-biking, are all within a short distance.
Newtown is six miles away and has a good selection of shops and galleries on offer.
Montgomery is just four miles away and is a small and very pretty town.
The coast can be reached by car, within one hour and trains run regularly from Newtown and Welshpool stations, offering a relaxing trip to the Welsh Coast.
