A beautifully presented 5 star family run country house, offering quality accommodation at its best. Sharon and Nigel offer luxury accommodation in relaxed yet sumptuous surroundings, with genuinely friendly and attentive hospitality.

This is the perfect place for a short break, or a lavish wedding reception. Allow us to make your experience truly special.

Our bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished with quality antiques and rich luscious fabrics. Immerse yourself in an elegant, yet informal, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Take a stroll around the grounds or sip a drink from the honesty bar, maybe some quiet time in front of the fire, a game of pool in the basement, or a game of cards in the lounge, before tucking into a delicious locally sourced home cooked meal.

Take a break from the norm, the mundane, the uninspiring. You deserve a bedroom which sympathetically reflects the origins of a fine country residence. Immerse yourself in an elegant, yet informal, warm and welcoming environment.

Enjoy a revitalising night's sleep on a luxurious bed, draped in quality crisp white linen with sumptuous throws, and piles of plump pillows.

Refresh the body in a private en suite, and relax and unwind wrapped in a soft cotton bath sheet, while sipping a well deserved drink from the honesty bar.

Too early for a tipple? Maybe a cafetiere coffee or a range of specialty teas, in front of a touch of modern, a flat screen digital TV & DVD player. You've earned some 'you' time, sit back, relax and enjoy a film from our range of DVD's.

We feel proud and privileged to live in such a beautiful and diverse part of the world. There are many wonderful places to enjoy just a few steps off our doorstep.

We are lucky enough to be sandwiched between two areas of outstanding natural beauty. These are Pentire Point to Widemouth, which is less than two miles to the West of us, and Bodmin Moor, which is less than 5 miles to the South East.

We are the perfect base for a wonderful break away with a whole host of attractions near by.

This enchanting and elegant residence, was originally constructed in 1870 by the church and was used as the rectory for the Parish of Davidstow. It is believed that it was intended for the Rev. Edward Benson, but in the mean time the Reverend became the first Bishop of Truro and subsequently the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The house therefore, has an exciting and interesting history, with many respected individuals having stayed here over the years.

Highlights
  • A very hospitable welcome to an elegant country residence.
