Opened in May 2005, Linda, Philip, Kimberley and Michael, welcome you to their family home, where traditional values are important.
At the centre of Cumbria, the Centre of the UK. The Ginney is situated on the edge of the peaceful village of Catterlen, just off Jct 41 of the M6., within 10 min from Lake Ullswater. Set in the beautiful Eden Valley, close to medieval Hutton-in-the-forest, home of Lord and Lady Inglewood, easily reached from all of the UKs major routes, making this an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District, Hadrians Wall amd the Pennines.
Built in the 1700s from local stone, our home has been lovingly converted in a style sympathetic to the buildings former origins, providing the holiday maker with a unique opportunity to enjoy a luxurious country break.
Stone walls, exposed beams and an open fireplace make for a warm and inviting ambience, or sit out and enjoy the view over Penrith from your patio.
Four Luxurious ensuite bedrooms with king size beds, providing two double and two family rooms all with wall mounted digital TVs (Freeview), Radio Clock, Beverage facilities and Hair Dryer.
Breakfast is served from the Gincase/guests lounge, where you may take time to relax and endulge in your freshly prepared locally sourced food. Altogether something rather special.
